I'm working really hard on my new movie. So far I got 2000 frames, which is 85 seconds and 77 kills. Here is another .gif that shows a few frames of tha shizzle.
I made a background and a kill 'o' meter but Imma add that when the movie is done.

I think stickmen is way too uncreative.
I think you should learn better english. And it's just the way u want to see it. Do you think Krinkels' madness is uncreative? Same concept. Everything is uncreative, everything has been used. I just make this because I like to see simple characters make smooth unrealistic kung fu moves.
Yes I also think it is, cause it's a simplified technique that is made fancy! I mean, some of the stickmenflashes can be animated SUPERB, but when you have a talent like that, use it one something that is more serious and good looking.
I see it only as a short cut, and THATS why I think it's uncreative.
I'm not going to have this discussion over and over again. I like animating sticks, eventhough I MAY be able to make something ''better'', but I choose this. People's opinions differ, and we can't change eachothers so don't mention this again and just don't review my movie when it comes out. I made this news post because I like to let ppl know what I'm up to, if u want to continue whining just mail me.

Is it meant to slow down when he kicks them?? I think it would be better if stayed at full speed.
You should add effects, blood and stuff like that.
Also the blue guys are probably a bit too crap, it would be better if maybe they threw a couple of punches which the black guy dodeged, then turned it around on the blue guy.
Also like the everyone else said stickmen aren't very original or creative but if you like animating them then that's ok but you should try doing something more complicated; using different camera angles, close ups shots to making it look like an actual movie.
Madness may have been creative when it was first done but now it's definently not.

but the animation is ridiculously fluid, and the slightly-choppier slowdowns in movement flow very well with everything else, almost like an anime... except with sticks. I'll want to see this finished : D

I'm not hating on stick fighting flash (although I don't really care for them, myself), but I can definitely see the appeal in making them.
I mean lets face it, they're quick, easy, but most importantly fun, right? They can help you get a great understanding of animation and motion graphics in general. So they're not entirely useless.
But, on the other hand, don't expect to make a career out of it. Anyone with a basic understanding of flash can make a decent stick fight, and if you take animation seriously you will eventually need to move on to more in depth graphics.
For example, if you walk into an animation studio with a hand-full of stick movies, they'll turn your ass right back around the way you came.
All in all, make what you're comfortable making, as long as you're having fun with the process. And not to mention, with Newgrounds around, there will always be an audience for this genre :)
You are absolutely right. I like animating sticks because of all the reasons you've mentioned. I'm just focusing on movement right now and cool effects. I know I can't make a living out of this, it's just a hobby. I do want to learn professionally how to make cool animations, but there are schools for that. Thanks for understanding :)
